LOCAL ROUNDUP: Rumble in the Bay events planned Sept. 4 in Bigfork
Bigfork’s Rumble in the Bay is Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Bigfork.
All makes, models and years of classic cars, trucks and motorcycles are eligible to participate. A pre-party will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 3 and a post-party will be held at the Tall Pine Lounge on Montana 35.
There will also be a period costume contest, along with food vendors, raffles, a poker walk and more. The awards presentation will take place at 2 p.m.

Along with the car show, a plane show and pancake breakfast will take place at the Ferndale Airport. More than 40 planes will be on display, including war birds, helicopters, experimental planes and more. Free parking and a trolley service to the Rumble in the Bay will be available at the airport.
Aug. 10 is entry deadline for local fair parade
The deadline to register to participate in this year’s Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo parade is Wednesday, Aug. 10.
This year’s theme is “Montana’s Best.” Parade entries should be decorated accordingly. The parade will take place Aug. 19, rain or shine. Entries should plan accordingly.

Columbia Falls bookstore’s last day is July 30
The Columbia Falls Library Association Bookstore is closing. It has been unable to find a new location and must vacate its present facilities.
The bookstore’s last day is July 30. Hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The library is located at 39 Sixth St. W., Columbia Falls.
