Campers complain about threats

A group of campers told Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies that a habitually loud neighbor made comments about “starting World War III.” The caller said one of the loud campers allegedly warned other campers that “everyone here has a gun and knows how to use it.” The callers told deputies that the threatening suspects warned them not to call the police as they left the campground.

A woman reported her 1970’s blue Honda motorcycle was missing following an event at Rebecca Farm. The woman described the bike with Washington plates as a “retro-style” with a long black seat for two.

A Marion man claimed his daughter borrowed his pistol then traded it for an ounce of meth.

Officers were unable to locate a man that allegedly followed an 11-year-old child to a park. The boy told the person who called police that the man allegedly follows him “everywhere.” When the caller confronted the stranger, the man allegedly said he knew the child’s mom even though the boy didn’t know him. The boy’s grandfather picked him up.

A man told deputies he didn’t “want to make a big deal” out of the fact a woman allegedly fired her pistol at his truck. Officers advised both parties involved, who each said neither wanted to do anything about what transpired.

Police advised a Kalispell man not to shoot his neighbor after his dog was allegedly attacked by the dog from across the street.


A bicycling duo called Whitefish Police Department for advice on where they should stay the night while passing through town. The two friends said they were traveling across the country raising money for a charity. Police advised them that camping was an option.


Someone called Columbia Falls Police when they met a man at a bar who was allegedly so intoxicated he couldn’t say his name or address.


Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after he allegedly kicked in his girlfriend’s door.

Deputies advised a woman to call the emergency room after she said she was concerned she may have taken too much insulin.

A man called for help after a neighbor allegedly assaulted his brother with a nightstick then took off on foot.
