LETTER: Holmquist has done 'excellent job'

I am writing this letter to express my support for Pam Holmquist for Flathead County commissioner. In my opinion Pam has done an excellent job in the commissioners’ office and has been one of the best commissioners we have had.

She kept her word in regard to protecting our property rights. She was instrumental in getting the “property owners’ bill of rights” inserted into the 2012 Growth Policy re-write. She was instrumental in getting the Evergreen business overlay zoning to help the Evergreen business community.

She was instrumental in getting representation for the people in the Whitefish “doughnut” area. She fought hard to protect our water rights by opposing the Salish and Kootenai water compact. Pam worked hard to keep county spending down, sometimes against very vocal opposition. I urge you to vote for Pam Holmquist for Flathead County commissioner in the primary election. —Dick Skees, Columbia Falls
