WHITEFISH — Trey Gates bunted in Caleb Meehan on a squeeze play in the seventh inning to lift the Glacier Twins B squad over Havre at Memorial Park on Thursday at the Ed Gallo tournament.

The Twins took an early lead but found themselves knotted at 3-3 and staring down extra innings entering the final frame. Quintin Schriver wore a pitch to lead off the inning and was hit to third base on a single and the Twins loaded the bases two batters later on a single from Tom Hellwig. With three chances to hit in the winning run, Terek Bistodeau’s attempt saw Northstars second baseman Trey Murphy throw out Schriver at home.

The next try worked though, as Gates’ bunt gave Meehan enough time to get home.

Nathan Hader picked up the win in relief for the Twins.
