Summer calendar

• Experience art with all your senses from Tuesday through June 28 at all ImagineIF locations.

• A Youth Mental Health First Aid eight-hour public education program will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Flathead Valley Community College in the Arts and Technology Building room 144 A/B 777. Participants will learn risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents and how to help or intervene. Register at www.eventbrite.com.

• Build a projector and create an animated film at ImagineIF Kalispell at 2 p.m. July 7. Open to teens grades sixth-12th. Registration is limited to the first 15 people to sign up at www.imagineiflibraries.evenbrite.com.

• The 4-H sheep showmanship clinic is set from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 9 at the H.E. Robinson Vo-Ag Center in Kalispell. Boatman lambs will be featured. Registration packets are available at http://flathead.mt.gov/.

• Cupcake wars are on at ImagineIF Columbia Falls at 2 p.m. July 14. Teens (grades 6-12) will be tasked with creating the ultimate cupcake with ingredients provided. The winner will receive a prize.

• July 4 is the deadline to register for the July 18-22 session of Pee Wee Sports Camp for children ages 5-8 through Kalispell Parks and Recreation. The camp will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Edgerton Elementary. Cost is $69. The camp will teach fitness, sportsmanship and the fundamentals of soccer, basketball, floor hockey and baseball.

• July 4 is the deadline to register for the July 18-22 session of Mini Sports Camp for children ages 3-4 through Kalispell Parks and Recreation. The camp will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. at Edgerton Elementary. Cost is $36. The camp will teach sports fundamentals such as throwing, catching, kicking, hitting, bouncing and running. • July 5 is the deadline to register for Flathead County 4-H Camp to be held July 18-22. Camp is open to children 8-12. Cost is $110 for 4-H members and $130 for non-members. Scholarships are available. This year’s theme is “color wars.”

• July 11 is the deadline to register for cheerleading camp through Kalispell Parks and Recreation. The camp will teach participants the fundamentals of cheerleading followed by a performance for family on the final day. The camp will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. for children ages 4 to 5 and from 10:30 a.m. to noon for children ages 6 and up July 25-29 at Lawrence Park. Cost is $32 and $39 for each respective age group. For more information call 758-7849.

• UK International Soccer Camp is slated for July 11-15 at Kalispell Youth Athletic Complex. A half camp for children 4-14 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $98. The full camp for children 7-14 will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $140. Register online at http://www.uksoccer.com.

• The First Montana Bank Flathead Valley kids triathlon for children ages 4-13 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 16 at Woodland Park and water park. Cost is $20 prior to June 13 and $25 after. Register at https://runsignup.com. This event is made up of a swim, bike and run events. Distance is geared to each of the following age groups: 4 to 5; 6 to 8 and 9 to 13.
