Lawrence Jay 'Larry' Blekkenk, 59

After a short bout with cancer, Larry Jay Blekkenk passed away on Feb. 22, 2016, while at St. Pat’s Hospital in Missoula.

Larry was born on July 21, 1956, in Charlevoix, Michigan, to Larry and Jenny Blekkenk, formerly of Seeley Lake.

He was raised in Alamogordo, New Mexico. After school he moved to Montana and lived the last 20-plus years in Marion.

Larry did small engine repair in the greater Marion/Kalispell area, including snowmobiles, boats, etc. He loved to fish, hunt and watch car racing.

Larry is survived by his father, Lawrence J. Blekkenk, of Marion; brothers, James “Jim” Blekkenk of Kalispell, and Scott Blekkenk and Denise of Missoula; and sisters, Melody (Blekkenk) Hart and Andy of Sacramento, California, and Kelly (Blekkenk) Lawhead and Don of Missoula; also seven nephews, one niece, four great-nephews and one great-niece.
