BOYS BASKETBALL: Glacier's season ends at Helena Capital
HELENA — Glacier couldn’t find the basket against a tough Helena Capital defense, falling 45-28 to the Bruins in a Class AA state tournament play-in game on Friday.
Glacier shot 23 percent from the floor, and less than 10 percent from 3-point range, in the loss. The Wolfpack wasn’t able to get its offense going in the contest, struggling as the Bruins hit nearly everything.
Capital led 18-5 after the first quarter and 30-13 at half on the way to the rout. The Bruins shot 60 percent in the game, 70 percent in the first half, making 56 percent of their 3-pointers.
Wolfpack senior Noah Lindsay had a team-high 10 points and eight rebounds.
Connor Dowdy finished with 13 points and five rebounds to lead Capital.
Glacier finishes the season at 7-15 overall. It is the second straight season the Wolfpack has missed the state tournament.
After the Glacier girls loss on Thursday and Flathead’s teams fell earlier in the week, this will be the first time no Kalispell schools have made the tournament since the 2003-04 season.
