Oscar E. Anderson Jr., 83

Oscar was born at Lake Blaine on May 25, 1932, to Oscar and Lillie Anderson.

He went to Lake Blaine School and Flathead County High School. He later joined the U.S. Army, serving mostly in Alaska.

He worked on heavy equipment for road construction until he retired.

Oscar was married to Betty Walker in 1973. She passed away Nov. 26, 2001. He passed away at the HealthCenter on Feb. 28, 2016.

He is survived by a stepson, Bill Walker; a stepdaughter and her husband, Karin Whalen and Tom; a daughter, Rhonda and two boys, Joe and Jimmie, from other marriages; brother-in-law Louis and sister Venetta Kimbrell and sister Orletta Loveall; one brother, Bill Lash, and nieces and nephews.

A graveside urn committal will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
