Woman trips, gets ride to the hospital
Whitefish Police were called after a drunken woman allegedly tripped on a barstool at a business on Baker Avenue and refused to get up, even though it appeared that she was not injured. The woman’s husband tried to get her off the ground, but she refused. An officer then escorted the woman to the emergency room, where she became combative with staff.
A man called Columbia Falls Police from a walking path near South Veteran Drive to report that a grungy-looking man and woman in their late teens or early 20s had asked him for his wallet. The man said the duo didn’t physically try to get the wallet, but that he was worried they might be on drugs and try to bother someone else.
A minor allegedly tried to buy alcohol on Ninth Street West with a fake identification card.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office told a man on Louisiana Avenue to call back if an unwanted person turned out on his porch again. The man called to report that the man was sitting on the porch, and left prior to a deputy’s arrival.
A Libby man reported that he was being stalked.
A Libby business reported that a gun might have been lost. An officer logged a report.
A person reported to Kalispell Police that someone was sending burning parachutes into the air, but an officer determined that no crime had been committed when someone sent a Chinese lantern into the air.
A grandma on Jaquette Road assured an officer that there were no teens partying on her property after someone called to report that underage individuals were having a bonfire with alcohol present.
A unarmed man was counseled after he left a business and allegedly shouted out that he wanted to shoot people and other “nasty” things.
