A Kalispell man who died following a vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Farm to Market Road was chasing his wife prior to the crash.

“He was chasing his estranged wife,” Flathead County Chuck Curry said.

Curry said the crash followed a disturbance between the couple. A press release on the crash described it as a “mobile domestic violence event.”

Bruce Eugene Boles, 55, died after losing control of his vehicle at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled. Boles was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

His wife is not believed to have played a role in the crash although she was at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation by Montana Highway Patrol and Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.
