Woman denies stealing from school organization
The former treasurer for the Somers-Lakeside Parent Teacher Association denied stealing thousands of dollars from the group.
In Flathead District Court on Thursday, Kendra Diane Dalke, 29, pleaded not guilty to one count of felony theft.
She appeared via audio visual link from Medford, Oregon, where she recently moved.
Dalke is accused of stealing $7,686 from the Somers-Lakeside Parent Teacher Association through a combination of debit card withdrawals and writing checks to her personal account.
Dalke allegedly confessed to taking $4,800 to the group’s leadership between December 2014 and November 2015. She allegedly told law enforcement that she used the funds for her gambling problem.
A jury trial was tentatively set for Aug. 8.
