LAW ROUNDUP: Urine sinks trust in tenant

A person on Dakota Avenue reported to Whitefish Police that a tenant had gotten drunk and threw urine on a pool table.

A man was cited for littering after an officer saw him throw two pastry boxes out a vehicle window. The man was ordered to pick up the boxes. The litterbug had been warned about his slovenly habit earlier that day by the same officer.

Police took a call from a mom who said that her 14-year-old son had been beaten up on Central Avenue. The incident was allegedly recorded.


Kalispell Police responded to River View Drive where numerous houses had been egged.

A man told officers that he was having a tough time figuring out how to get his paycheck. He had told the Social Security Administration to send it to an address that police told him he was not allowed to go to anymore.

Officers were dispatched to Liberty Street where two men were arguing. One of the men was drunk and reportedly had a 6-inch knife in his hand. The caller to 911 said slashed tires might have been involved in the incident.

Officers were dispatched again to Liberty Street, where three people were allegedly fighting and one person allegedly had a bat. Those involved did not want to pursue charges.

An officer was called after a pregnant woman on Third Avenue East reported that a man had spilled popcorn over her head, pulled her out of a vehicle and had thrown her on the street in an argument.

A restaurant on East Idaho Street was stiffed by a gruff man who dined, dashed, and left a $16.25 bill behind.


Columbia Falls Police counseled a man on Talbot Road after he came onto someone else’s property and tore down a cable gate and “no trespassing” sign meant to keep people out.

A boy on Ninth Street West was counseled about not shooting anything that could cause a ricochet after someone called in and said that a child was shooting a BB gun at vehicles. The boy said he was shooting at a tree with an airsoft gun.
