APRIL 10-12: State tourism conference

T?he Montana Governor’s Conference on Tourism will be staged in Kalispell this year at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The annual gathering of Montana’s tourism industry runs from Sunday, April 10, through Tuesday, April 12. Participants will be able to get out and about and see some local attractions in addition to sessions on marketing, business, and research.

An Indian Country tour around Flathead Lake to Pablo and back is planned April 10, as is a Glacier National Park history tour and a tour to local breweries, wineries and distilleries. There’s also a downtown Kalispell historic and cultural tour, a Flathead Valley agri-tourism tour and a Rails to Trails bike tour.

Workshop topics will run the gamut, from a session on bloggers and blogging to bicycle tourism. State tourism awards also will be presented.
