Judith Ann Darling Benson, 65
Judith Ann Darling Benson, 65, of Whitefish, died peacefully in her home March 18, 2016.
Judy was born June 12, 1950, in Kalispell to Marvin “Pete” and Irene Darling. She attended all of her school years in Columbia Falls, graduating in 1968.
Judy went to college at St. Vincent Nursing School in Billings. Judy started her nursing career working for Dr. Bennett in Columbia Falls. She later moved to Billings, working for St. John’s Lutheran Home for 27 years.
Judy married Steve Benson Sept. 18, 1987. They returned to Columbia Falls in 1999.
Judy is survived by her husband, Steve; her brother, Chuck, and wife, Maryleigh, of Columbia Falls; her niece, Kara, and Bill, of Columbia Falls; nephew, Charlie, and Eve, of Bigfork; nephew, Evan, of Whitefish; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved animals, Gus, Sam, Mack, Q, BJ, Goldie and Peewee.
Judy was preceded into death by her parents, Irene and Pete Darling.
A small graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. March 26 at Woodlawn Cemetery, with a celebration of life to follow from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Back Room of the Nite Owl Cafe.
