Flathead County authorities issued a $30,000 arrest warrant on Tuesday for a Kila man facing a sixth driving under the influence charge while serving probation for his previous drinking and driving offenses.

Ryan Daniel Mills, 31, is charged with felony driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

According to court documents, a Montana Highway Patrol trooper stopped Mills on U.S. 2 on Saturday because Mills was observed driving his vehicle below the speed limit and crossing the fog line.

Mills also stopped at an intersection with a blinking yellow caution light, although no other vehicles were around. When Mills pulled over, he allegedly jumped the curb into a grassy area.

Mills allegedly had blood on his face and clothing and smelled of alcohol.

The trooper noticed an open container of alcohol in the driver’s cup holder.

Mills performed poorly on field sobriety tests and allegedly topped over the legal alcohol limit when he provided a breath sample.

Mills has five previous convictions for driving under the influence, including two from 2014 and three others in 2013, 2007 and 2005. He is set to be arraigned March 31.
