A Kila woman was indicted on a handful of federal charges on March 18 in U.S. District Court in Missoula for allegedly dealing methamphetamine.

Jamie Ryan Miscampbell, 31, of Kila, and Missoula co-defendant Andrew Joseph Shields, 32, have pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and distribution of methamphetamine.

If convicted of all the charges, the pair face possible life in prison and a total of $16.25 million in fines.

Court documents give few specifics about the alleged crimes, but a jury found there was substantial evidence Miscampbell and Shields dealt meth in Flathead and Missoula counties on multiple occasions in January and February this year. On at least one occasion the pair had a firearm.

Shields also has an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for criminal contempt from Flathead County Justice Court.

The case was investigated by the Northwest Drug Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations.
