Kalispell man wins $75,000 in lottery game
Todd Fann of Kalispell hit paydirt this week on a “Gold Mine” scratch ticket, winning $75,000.
Fann, a father of two young children, stopped at the Town Pump south of Kalispell to get gas and decided to buy a “Gold Mine” ticket, one of his favorites.
He scratched the ticket in the car and started pounding on the steering wheel when he realized he had won. The first person he told was his wife, DeNeal, according to a Montana Lottery press release.
Fann has no definite plans for his winnings, other than to pay a few bills and put the rest into savings. With a growing family, that was an easy decision.
The Montana Lottery was created by voter initiative in 1986. Since its inception, the lottery has paid out $497 million in prizes and transferred approximately $224 million to help support state programs.
