Sheriff's Office releases dead woman's name

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office on Friday identified the woman who was found dead in Lakeside earlier in the week.

Shawntal Johnston, 38, of Lakeside was found dead Monday on a barge docked in Lakeside. The Sheriff’s Office is awaiting autopsy and toxicology results from the State Medical Examiner’s Office and Montana State Crime Lab to determine Johnston's cause of death.

She is survived by her parents, Jesse and Sheri James.

Johnston’s death is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
