Maurice A. Buls, 74

| March 26, 2016 6:00 AM

Maurice A. Buls died unexpectedly in Palm Springs, California, March 18, 2016, at the age of 74.

Maurice was born May 21, 1941, to Arthur Buls and Ruth Hanson Buls Rumley in Missoula.

Maurice was a hardworking man. He was a generous and dedicated individual who loved his family, whom he protected with unwavering love. His love for animals was indescribable. Maurice was a risk taker. If anyone were to tell him he couldn’t, it wouldn’t take long for Maurice to prove them wrong. He loved his wife Nancy more than anyone will ever know. There wasn’t a distance long enough to hold the two of them apart.

Maurice’s greatest passion in life was golfing. His presence would be seen at Buffalo Hill Golf Course during the summer months and Tri-Palm Country Club in Palm Springs during the winter months. The week of his passing, Maurice golfed his best round, a 74.

Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Duane and Pat.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Nancy; daughters, Maureen and Philip Burden of Kalispell; and Shawna and Chris Lee of Italy; sisters, Elaine Pack of Kalispell, Karen and Neil Durham of Kalispell, and Lisa and Gary Morton of Kalispell; brothers, Leonard and Tina Buls of Great Falls, Roger and Diane Buls of Anchorage, and Dan and Megan Buls of Kalispell; grandchildren, Chelsea, Tarah and Dexter, Graham, Mariah, Spencer, Julia, Zach and Tiffany, Adam and Jessica, Patrick, and Emilee; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 28, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
