LETTER: How do states handle refugees with child brides?
Numerous problems have been reported in Western countries which are taking in refugees from the Middle East and predominantly Muslim counties, but so far, in this country at least, not much publicity has been generated about the child bride problem.
According to Abigail Esman in an article written for www.investigativeproject.org, UNICEF has reported that as many as “one-third of registered marriages among Syrian refugees in Jordan between January and March 2014 involved girls under 18,” with some as young as 11. This is not all that unusual as it must be remembered that Muhammad took a 9-year-old as one of his wives and that currently 15 million girls worldwide are forced into matrimony every year (statistic provided by International Center for Research on Women).
With only one more year to further damage the United States and Montana, Obama has requested Democrat Gov. Steve Bullock to take Middle Eastern refugees aka potential terrorists. What does our esteemed Bullock plan on doing when a married couple show up and the wife is under the age of 14 and pregnant? What if she is 11 years old and pregnant? Is he going to request his good buddy, Republican Attorney General Fox prosecute the husband for pedophilia? Is the county attorney going to prosecute the husband under pedophilia laws? Is a district court judge going to declare the marriage null and void as the child was unable to legally give her consent to be wed? Are there state laws on the books that cover this situation? Remember, the marriage was legal in the country in which it was performed.
Whatever happens, it is of no concern to our Democrat friends as the husband, wife, and soon-to-be-born child are all going to become a part of the massive social welfare system in Montana. They will be registered to vote and told they must vote for Democrats to assure their welfare checks keep coming in the mail.
I can envision that Democrat activists employed within the social welfare system will request absentee ballots for them and then complete the ballots for our non-English speaking refugees, who to no one’s surprise, will vote for only Democrats.
This prospect is all the more reason to vote if you are a conservative or independent as an election could easily be stolen by Democrat activists employed within the social welfare system.
