Fundraising event in full swing

Fundraising efforts were in full swing Tuesday for the Give Local Flathead event.
As of midafternoon Tuesday, $13,450 had been raised for nonprofits from 218 gifts at the annual one-day online crowd-funding event.
A total of 70 local nonprofit organizations are taking part in Give Local Flathead.
The 24-hour online giving event aims to connect community members with local nonprofits to reinforce the value of local philanthropic giving and community engagement.
In Kalispell, nonprofit organizations were headquartered at the Gateway Community Center with interesting and lively displays.
The Flathead Community Foundation and Northwest Montana United Way are primary sponsors of Give Local Flathead.
