David Merideth Minister Jr., 90

David Merideth Minister Jr. passed away on April 25, 2016, at Day View Adult Family Home in Renton, Washington.

He was born in June of 1925 in Denver to David Merideth Sr. and Freda Johnson Minister.

David grew up in Denver. He graduated from Denver High School in Denver in 1944. After high school, he joined the U. S. Navy in 1944 and served as a fighter/bomber pilot and in World War II. David was honorably discharged in 1946 after achieving the rank of ensign.

David graduated from Colorado A & M with a degree in forestry in 1950 and worked for the U.S. Forest Service and later ran a fishing charter boat on Flathead Lake.

David married Myrtle Shirley Buress in June 1951 in Loveland, Colorado. They were happily married for 64 years.

David was preceded in death by his parents, David and Freda; and his siblings, Wesley, Marjorie and Carl.

David is survived by his spouse, Myrtle, of Renton, Washington; his sons, Robert and Barry; daughter, Pamela; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 15 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
