LAW ROUNDUP: She'll need a jackpot to pay her bail

Kalispell Police Department picked up a woman on a $40,000 warrant for felony sale of dangerous drugs after she was spotted in a casino gambling and called in by an anonymous citizen. The woman appeared to have her hair partially covering her face to avoid detection.

An officer stopped a woman after she allegedly shoved two granola bars down her pants and left a grocery store without paying.

An officer told a drunken man to sober up and stay home after he called and said that when he passed by someone’s house he was told he would be shot. The man was supposed to stay away from the residence because of a no-contact order. The investigating officer noted that the man was too inebriated to really understand what he was saying.

A woman said she didn’t think she had been sexually assaulted, but she did think she might have been drugged after she woke up in her hotel room with her pants off. She could not remember how she got there.

A dog was quarantined for biting an unspecified individual after an animal control officer was dispatched to check on the dog because someone was worried that its 8-year-old owner might harm the animal. The person claimed that the boy had a violent history and that he had allegedly killed a goldfish with his bare hands a few weeks ago.


The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office interviewed an older couple outside Kalispell after the man reported that his wife had hit him in the head, causing him to bleed. Afterwards she allegedly went upstairs to play on the computer.

A woman went to the emergency room after allegedly being attacked by a cat the prior evening. A trap was set by animal control officers for the stray.

A woman in Bigfork called to complain about harassing phone calls from someone claiming to be a neighbor who was in love with her. A deputy concluded that the woman had been the victim of a scam. She was given advice how to block calls.

A dog in Marion was taken to puppy detention after it was caught trying to eat a neighbor’s rabbits.

A woman in Evergreen complained that her daughter’s ex-boyfriend had allegedly entered a home and stolen a phone. An officer filed a burglary report.

Shortly after an order of protection was filed against him, a man allegedly showed up at a residence where he was banned on Castle View Lane, saying “I’m going to kill you” through a window.


Whitefish Police responded to a stalking call where the stalker was allegedly caught looking through the window of a woman’s home.


Columbia Falls Police gave a man a ride home after he was found slumped over the wheel of a vehicle on Ninth Street West.
