Anthony F. 'Tony' Bolken, 48

Anthony “Tony” Forest Bolken passed away at the age of 48 on Dec. 28, 2015, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. He was surrounded by loved ones at his residence in Whitefish.

Tony was born in Springfield, Oregon, on Jan. 31, 1967. He received his education at Watford City High School in Watford City, North Dakota, and graduated in 1986.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 14 years, Annie Hedrick Bolken. Other survivors include his mother, Sue Bolken, of Whitefish; his siblings, Sue Ann Bolken and Paul Kjell Bolken, both of Whitefish, and Synnove Bolken Fitzpatrick, of Puyallup, Washington. Tony’s stepsons include Robert W. Hedrick and family, of Independence, Missouri, as well as Bryan G. Hedrick and family, of Eudora, Kansas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alexius, Alexandria, Mikayla and Brantley Hedrick. Tony’s extended family also includes several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Bolken, who passed away in August of 2010.

Tony was a caring man with a good heart who loved helping other people. He was a true gentleman who was respectful to everyone and thought the world of his wife, Annie.

Tony loved building things and was employed by High Country Builders. His talent in craftsmanship earned him several awards, particularly for his work constructing multi-million dollar houses. Tony was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed going camping, four-wheeling, fishing and hunting with Annie and their dogs. He also loved working up in the Sweetgrass Hills with his Uncle Chuck and Aunt Sally.

There will be a memorial service for Anthony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church Kalispell.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church at 400 West California Street, Kalispell, MT 59901.
