COMMUNITY BRIEFS: Holiday Bazaar benefits museum

The Heritage Museum’s Holiday Bazaar will take place this weekend in Libby. Hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.

A wide array of local crafts will be featured. The museum will also have tables filled with items and gift certificates donated by local merchants and friends of the museum. All of the money earned at these tables goes directly to the museum.

 A raffle will be held. Tickets are $10 for a book of 12, six for $5, or $1 each and are available at the bazaar, from museum volunteers or at Alpha Computers, 305 Main Ave., Naturally Good Things, 313 California Ave., or Vintage Collectible Treasures, 521 Mineral Ave.

The drawing will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday. You need not be present to win.


Glacier Nordic potluck benefit

The nonprofit Glacier Nordic Club is hosting its annual potluck and benefit auction at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Whitefish Moose Lodge, 230 W. 10th St.

The event supports the grooming of the trails at the Glacier Nordic Center at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course and the Nordic trails on Big Mountain, as well as youth ski programs. Either a membership or a day pass is required to ski at the Nordic Center. Early season memberships ($110 family and $55 individual) may be purchased through Dec. 3 on the website at glaciernordicclub.com or at the potluck.


Lake County Pachyderm

Kristen Juras, candidate for the Montana Supreme Court, will be the featured speaker at a special meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club Friday, Nov. 4.

The monthly meeting date has been moved up a week and will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the Polson Rural Fire Department on Regatta Road.
