LAW ROUNDUP: Envelopes full of cash reported lost

Kalispell Police took a report from East Center Street, where someone reported that he or she had lost two envelopes, with between $4,300 and $4,700 in cash inside.

An officer took a report from Fifth Avenue West, where a woman said that a rifle was missing.

A man on Salem Street reported that a passport, guns, bank card and other items were taken from his residence on Salem Street.

A man and woman were taken to jail after someone reported that they had seen one man on East Idaho Street allegedly pull a gun on another one. The men then allegedly fought. The woman arrested at the scene was taken in on a warrant.

Someone on North Main Street reported that a 3-year-old boy had been hit by a vehicle. The child appeared to have only minor injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

A passport was reported stolen from a mailbox on Glenwood Drive.

A man on Jackson Peak Drive reported that some pumpkins had been stolen from his porch. The suspects were caught on video.

Two laptops and some paperwork were reported stolen from a Buick LaSabre parked on First Avenue East.

An officer found none of the people involved wanted to cooperate in pressing charges after a messy fight. A woman reported that her landlord assaulted her. She was then allegedly Tased by another party in the neck. The woman reported that one of the people involved allegedly had his face split open at some point in the foray. The parties were separated for the night.


Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to Bayou Road near Kalispell, where a man could be heard on the 911 line threatening to slash his girlfriend’s tires. The investigating deputy found that the man and his girlfriend had gotten into a verbal argument and she had allegedly hit some lilac bushes as she drove away. The man said he was upset the girlfriend would not give up drugs.

A woman notified deputies that a man she had reported as missing last week had been found. He was incarcerated in Los Angeles County.

A woman in Lakeside reported that her daughter had allegedly stolen a pistol.


Whitefish Police took a report about a man allegedly stealing a pair of expensive sunglasses from Central Avenue.

A woman told officers that she would come and get her debit card after she allegedly saw on Facebook where someone found it and turned it in.

Officers were unable to locate anyone after someone called to report that teenage boys were allegedly going down the road destroying pumpkins.


Columbia Falls Police took a woman to the hospital after someone allegedly beat her up after police visited the property earlier in the day. The woman was afraid to call police because she was afraid she would get beaten again.
