Columbia Falls speech opens with win

Reigning Class A speech and debate state champions, Columbia Falls High School, kicked off the season with a first-place win in Stevensville.

Columbia Falls scored 172 points to capture the win. Loyola Sacred Heart came in second with 95 points and Whitefish High School placed third with 91 points at the Oct. 29th tournament.

“We have an amazing group of upperclassman leading this team, and this tournament also showed us the new talent coming in as freshman and sophomores,” Columbia Falls head coach Tara Norick said.

Columbia Falls is seeking a 12th consecutive state championship this season.
