Montana Wooden Boat Foundation offering new adult classes

| November 7, 2016 7:45 PM

The Montana Wooden Boat Foundation is offering new adult boat building classes in early 2017 at its Boat Building Center located at 100 Bierney Creek Road in Lakeside.

Participants can pick a small boat style, build it with the help of an experienced boat builder and be ready to launch the new craft next boating season. No previous experience is necessary.

The new program series will focus on easy-to-build kayak and canoe kits that can be ordered online. Help is available in identifying a kit source or deciding on a boat style.

Participants will order a kit online and have it shipped to the Montana Wooden Boat Foundation Center. Paid tuition includes instruction, full use of Boat Building Center, required tools and all materials, with the exception of paint and varnish which can be purchased through the Foundation at a discount.

Due to available space, the class is limited to five boats.
