Hedges preschool applications available

Applications are available for families to find out if their children are eligible to attend preschool at Hedges Elementary starting in December.

There are 18 spaces available to attend the free program funded through a grant. Eligibility is income-based. Families must be at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty line, which is $11,880 for an individual or $24,300 for a family of four, for example.

Applications are due by Nov. 25 at Hedges Elementary School, 827 Fourth Ave. E., Kalispell. Forms are available online at www.sd5.k12.mt.us/Content2/576.

Children will attend preschool from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with breakfast and lunch provided. Potential students must be four years of age at or before Sept. 10.
