LETTER: There were better solutions for district

Here’s a thought I’ve yet to hear ... What about using the location where they want to build a new elementary school, but instead build a new Flathead High School which would solve the parking issues once and for all, not to mention other things and use the current Flathead High for several things such as the lower level as an elementary School and the upstairs for ALL of School District 5 administration, storing supplies, etc... That would free up rent money we’re paying for other locations.

Tear down the asbestos-filled small gym that’s falling apart and make that space between the buildings a playground, for example. Seriously, It’s just a matter of time before Flathead will need to move out of the neighborhood, so since the land is available, it makes more sense to make that move now and hopefully save the taxpayers some money. —Ty Fromm, Kalispell
