LETTER: Voter questions some choices district made

I have a last-minute reflection on the school bonds. The voters have to OK everything or nothing for the two bonds.
As an example, it is easy to understand why a high school as old as Flathead High is desperately in need of major repair and renovation. It is a little more difficult to get why a substantial amount is tacked on to the total bond for work at a new school such as Glacier High. Could some of the money that seems to be lavished on sports be used for “parking lot maintenance”?
I have no children in any of the schools so I am not favoring any school for that reason. Instead of careful budgeting, is there a possibility some of these requests are just trying to get a piece of the pie? —Carole Reeves, Kalispell
