Youths try to get into school

Three to four youths were spotted by a custodian trying to get into the Elrod Elementary on Third Avenue West by attempting to pick open a door and climb pipes to get onto the roof. One hooligan reportedly peed in a trashcan.

A man reported his passport, a bank card and guns were stolen from his Salem Street residence to Kalispell Police Department.

A man and woman were seen in a vehicle on Salem Street and were thought to be involved in an alleged “drug buy.”

A peaceful family outing was disturbed when a dad called police from Lawrence Park to report that a man kicking around a soccer ball reportedly almost hit his 2-year-old with it. The man allegedly threw the soccer ball at the dad’s chest and threatened him.

A woman on Looking Glass Avenue and Cyclone Drive told police that a man allegedly kept parking by a park and watching children play. The woman claimed that every time she tried to go over and talk to the man he drove away. She was also suspicious because the man allegedly didn’t have children with him and she believed he didn’t live in the area.

A black hairy dog reportedly kept going into a theater on Hutton Ranch Road possibly because it wanted to watch “The Secret Lives of Pets.”

A vehicle spotted on Fourth Avenue East and Fourth Street East raised the suspicions of someone who thought the occupants might be drunk and casing the area.

A man on Second Avenue West reported his motorized bicycle stolen.

Men in a Fifth Avenue West North alley reportedly threatened to beat a scared teen and his friend.

A man went to someone’s house on Phoenix Street and reportedly said he cut a tumor out of his mouth with scissors and “had a towel on it.” Dispatchers noted the man had drug issues in the past.

Someone in the area of East Idaho Street and Third Avenue East North said he or she heard three shots and that a customer allegedly saw shots come out of an older vehicle. It was unclear where the noise was coming from.

A woman and her friend on West Evergreen Drive reportedly heard a tapping noise and thought someone was trying to “freak her out.” The tapping sound was possibly traced to a skunk and the friend’s girlfriend.

A man was likely upset when he got home from work to find his Windriver Drive house had allegedly been ransacked and a large safe containing guns, ammunition and jewelry taken.

An drunk man was seen urinating in a neighbor’s yard on Empire Loop.

Someone went to the police lobby and requested an officer to take a man with a bloody lip and “blood all down the front of him,” to the hospital.

A parent reported his or her son’s bike was stolen after someone cut the chain locking it up on Liberty Street.


Whitefish Police Department responded to a fight on Central Avenue when someone told officers that “hammered” people tried to drive home and when he allegedly confronted them they tried to fight him.


Columbia Falls Police Department received a report on Darlene Road about people allegedly dealing methamphetamine.
