Kalispell Chamber plans timber tour Oct. 20

As part of Montana Forest Products Week, the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will hold a Flathead Timber Tour on Thursday, Oct. 20.

The tour will visit a fuels reduction project in a private forest at Spring Brook Ranch, owned by Carol Bibler and Jim Watson.

The fuels reduction project is managed in cooperation with the Forest in Focus program of the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation.

The group will observe harvest operations and listen to presentations on harvest goals, community forests, information on the Foys-to-Blacktail Trail system and their conservation easement.
