LETTERS: Why we the people are angry!

| October 4, 2016 11:00 AM

Almost from the very start of this administration there has been an attitude of, “We won and you lost, so tough luck!”

From Fast and Furious to the out-and-out lies by former Attorney General Eric Holder to the out-and-out lies by the present attorney general, Loretta Lynch, this administration coupled with the Clintons has been nothing short of a Mafia style organization, intent on securing as much money and power as humanly possible and what is most disturbing about all of this is the fact that this Congress has been so afraid to act in good conscience, for fear of losing their positions of power within this government structure.

Like a virus that infects the body, this administration and its minions have infected every branch of government. From the IRS to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and all points in between — from the Supreme Court to the Veterans Administration, the attitude of those employed for the most part has been, “What’s in it for me?”

In the past eight years every layer of government strata that has been the very foundation of who we are as a nation and a people has been altered for the benefit of those in power. With regulation after regulation choking off the very life existence of this nation to benefit those overseas and millions of dollars going into the pockets of those in power.

We are a “sick nation” and we became this “sick” because we allowed inside influence to alter the course of this republic and change the very idea of independence to one of dependence. We have allowed our culture and our customs to take a “back seat” and allowed other cultures and customs into this country and have them demand that their ideology be allowed to flourish under the guise of our Constitution and “religious freedom.”

We have forgotten the fact that we are a Judeo-Christian nation and “One Nation under God.” It’s not supposed to be one nation under a whole bunch of other ideologies that come in direct conflict with our Constitution. —Jim Garvey, Kalispell
