Faiths Roundup: Mission speaker makes presentation

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has announced a speaker this weekend. Russel Jensen will present his mission experiences at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1380 Whitefish Stage Road.

Jensen spent his two-year mission in San Francisco and Oakland, California. He is the son of Randy and Karianne Jensen. He served in California since September 2014.

Choir Festival set for Oct. 9

The 2016 Multi-denominational Choir Festival will be held Sunday, Oct. 9, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Risen Christ Parish, 65 W. Evergreen Drive, Kalispell.

The event will feature a variety of choral music and Christian fellowship. Groups scheduled to perform include the Bethlehem Lutheran Choir, Blessed St. John Paul II Choir, Community Fellowship Choir of Columbia Falls, Northridge Lutheran Church Festival Choir, Risen Christ Choir, and St. Matthew’s Parish Choir.

Bible study for widows

Widow’s Hope of Northwest Montana is inviting widows from the community to a 13-week Bible study written by Dixie Keller, whose husband died tragically in a plane crash.

An informational coffee meeting will be held Monday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. at the Kalispell Presbyterian Church for anyone interested in learning more about the study. The study is especially helpful for recent widows of a year or two, or for those who need further encouragement.

The study will begin Monday, Oct. 24, and be held weekly for 13 weeks every Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. All study sessions will be held at the Kalispell Presbyterian Church, located at 540 S. Main St., Kalispell.

Cost for the entire series is $15 for the workbook.

‘Reboot’ event in Kalispell

“Reboot — Live!” with Chris Stefanick is coming to the Majestic Valley Arena in Kalispell on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Reboot will feature international speaker and author Stefanick and special musical guest Jon Niven.

Reboot is for anyone “ready to take life to a new level, practically and spiritually, offering a chance to rediscover God and rediscover the life you were made for.”

“Reboot — Live!” is for ages 12 and older.
