LAW ROUNDUP: Woman turns in husband for drunken driving
Kalispell Police took a man to the hospital for a blood draw and then to jail for suspected drunken driving, after a man’s wife called to report that he had been drinking all day and had been driving with her in the vehicle. The man allegedly got upset, stopped the vehicle in the vicinity of Hutton Ranch Road and West Reserve Drive and kicked the woman out. The man was located in a nearby parking lot.
A man called from Ramsgate Drive to report that a man with an ax had allegedly walked down the road, shined a light in someone’s eyes, and chased the other person. An officer patrolled the area.
Flathead County Sheriff’s Office counseled a woman on Forest Drive, who allegedly gave someone rent money to move in, but then was evicted because the person she paid was not the property’s owner.
Campaign signs were reported stolen from a yard on Whitefish Stage, near Whitefish.
Someone on Karrow Avenue reported that a deer had gotten into his or her dog kennel. The animal had apparently broken its neck trying to escape, and had died.
A report was logged after a woman allegedly came into a bar in Olney and said that she had been assaulted. Deputies could not locate the suspect.
Whitefish Police took a report from a woman who asked if police wanted to tap her phone line so they could record the phone calls of a creepy man.
Columbia Falls Police took a report from a woman who claimed that a child had allegedly been sexually assaulted three years earlier.
