LETTER: Gianforte will make great governor
Greg Gianforte’s analytical abilities, strong work ethic, and keen business sense make him the best candidate for Montana governor.
He has a plan, experience, and know-how to inspire creation of higher paying jobs to boost Montana from being ranked 49th in wages and 50th in income for millennials. He is well-known for his success in building Right Now Technologies. It grew from its start in a back bedroom in his home to an international company with over 1,100 employees, 500 of them in Bozeman with average salaries of $90,000.
He wants to make it easier for small businesses to start and grow by eliminating excessive regulations and lowering taxes
He believes education should prepare kids for future jobs by putting computer science in every high school and increasing trades education. He and his wife Susan funded high-school scholarships so students learn coding and computer science; they created ACE Scholarships Montana to help low- and moderate-income students attend schools of their choice. Gianforte Manufacturing Scholarships provide 50 percent scholarships to low-income Montanans and veterans.
He believes states should push back against federal over-reach and has been building a network among like-minded governors to unite in this effort. He believes Montana’s resources can be responsibly developed.
Gianforte has lived here for 28 years and knows agriculture is Montana’s leading industry. Therefore, he selected Lesley Robinson, rancher and Phillips County commissioner, as his running mate. She has represented numerous agricultural organizations and often testifies on their behalf before Montana’s Legislature and U.S. Congress. She will be a strong representative when decisions affecting agriculture and property rights are made.
Experience, values, and passion for Montana will make him a great governor. Greg Gianforte deserves your vote. —Penny Jarecki, Polson
