LETTER: No more health-care bills!
Health insurance companies should send their bills to our government, not to the poor bloke who is about to go under the knife. We the people should pay into a fund like the Social Security system. Sure it’s expensive for our government; so is war.
We are a rich nation, and health is a right not a privilege like driving a car. One more thing — too many insurance companies around. The citizen should never have to worry about receiving bills. If you don’t think this would be good public relations and improve the attitude we have about our present system, you’re dead wrong. Recuperating with no worry of receiving one type of bill would do wonders for a fast pleasant recovery for citizens of America.
We’re not all Mother Teresa, now Saint Teresa, but we are human beings who deserve compassion when it concerns one’s health. NO MORE BILLS. —Marcel Guy Cote, Libby
