CROSS COUNTRY: Perrin, Hill win Glacier Invitational

A trio of local schools got a preview of the state championship course on Wednesday at the Glacier cross country Invitational held at Rebecca Farm.
Flathead took the top two spots of the boys race, with Ben Perrin finishing three seconds ahead of the field in 15 minutes, 54 seconds. Jaden Anderson finished second in 15:59.
Glacier took the next six spots, led by Tevyn Stetson in 16:00.
Glacier’s Annie Hill easily won the girls race, finishing in 16:57, a full 2 minutes, 23 seconds in front of everyone else in the race. Glacier took the top three spots in the race, with Addie Labrum and Kinzie Peterson following Hill in 19:20 and 19:23, respectively. Avril Baines finished fifth in 20:01.
Flathead’s Kaitlin Wride finished fourth in 19:40, Nicole Bouma sixth in 20:24 amd Sadie Wilson seventh in 20:32.
Cut Bank also competed at the race, with Jemiah Peveler finishing 29th in 18:59 to lead the boys and Abbi Fitzpatrick finishing 13th in 21:28 to lead the girls.
The all-class state cross country meet will be held next Saturday at Rebecca Farm. It is the first time Kalispell will be hosting the state meet.
