LETTER: Congratulations on new AOA county offices

Regrettably and with sadness, I’ll miss all of you for the ribbon cutting of the new Agency on Aging facility. My passion for our burgeoning older American population continues here in Washington state.

 Providing needed attention to our aging Americans has, is and will continue to be a struggle worthy of a truly caring community.

Flathead County and the region have met today’s challenge, much to the credit of AOA and the many good folks in our Flathead community.

As a former county commissioner, I submit my deep appreciation, high praise and gratitude to commissioners Dale Lauman and Gary Krueger, as well as County Administrator Mike Pence (not to be confused with the vice presidential candidate) for staying the course.

Our most worthy citizens will be honored for their contributions and cared for in this most American way. —Cal Scott, Sequim, Wash.
