Whitefish waltzes past Browning in volleyball
WHITEFISH — Whitefish made quick work of Browning, coasting to an easy 25-12, 25-9, 25-10 victory in Class A nonconference play.
Libby Nagler had a strong all-around performance for Whitefish with team highs in blocks (two), assists (23) and aces (six).
“She did a really nice job, not only setting but when she goes back to serve,” Whitefish volleyball coach Jackie Fuller said. “I was really happy with that. She was spreading the ball well to all our hitters.”
Kate Doorn had 11 of Whitefish’s 29 kills.
Whitefish plays at the Butte Central Tournament on Saturday.

Eureka 3, Troy 0
EUREKA — Eureka prevailed in a tight opening set, then came back strong to defeat Troy 31-29, 25-18, 25-15 in a District 7B match.
“A good conference battle,” Eureka coach Charli Chapman said.
“A big win.”
Eureka (8-6 overall, 2-4 league) had 30 kills, led by Kaylee Kronsperger’s 15.
She also had a team high two blocks.
“We had a slow start, were playing pretty crazy in the first game,” Chapman said.
“We got back to our consistent play (after that) and were able to finish.”
Eureka plays at Thompson Falls on Saturday, 4:30 p.m., in a District 7B matchup.

RONAN — Lee Camel had 13 kills, four blocks and four aces to help Ronan down Missoula Loyola 25-20, 25-14, 25-12 in a District 6B match.
