Bullock cares about workers
My name is Nancy and I am a caregiver in Libby. Even though my work can be really hard and stressful, I love it. Taking care of people that need my help is what I was born to do.
A lot of what makes my job harder is not my clients. The hardest part I just don’t get paid enough to help support me or my family. I run out of money every month long before the bills do. Car repairs, household goods, gas, heat, and clothes — they all just cost too much, and the list goes on and on.
Now, there are people talking about making us all pay sales tax in Montana, too. Having a sales tax on the things my family — and my clients — need most is just not fair. I worry about the impact a new tax will have on my clients. The medical equipment they need — Depends, crutches, and so many other things — will become even more unaffordable.
That’s why I’m voting to reelect Gov. Steve Bullock on Nov. 8. Gov. Bullock has publicly said that he understands how a sales tax is just another way to make struggling, hard-working people pay more than their fair share.
I know he will fight for my family. He always has. Other people push political agendas that leave us out. Steve fights to count us in.
Please join me in voting for Gov. Steve Bullock on Election Day. —Nancy Malone-Pernigotti, Libby
