Evelyn Elizabeth Stika, 83

Evelyn Elizabeth Stika, age 83, died in her home in Columbia Falls surrounded by her family and best friend Debbie Gomez on Oct. 12, 2016, after a battle with liver disease.

Evelyn was born in Marquette, Michigan, to her parents Joseph and Evelyn Hillyard.

She married her high school sweetheart, Andrew, in 1953, and celebrated 63 years of marriage this year. Evelyn and Andy enjoyed going to garage sales and vacationing with family and friends in northern Minnesota.

Evelyn loved sewing and was blessed with the opportunity to have her own alterations business in her Eden Prairie, Minnesota, home. She had an enormous heart, wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by the multitude of people who had the good fortune of calling her their friend.

Her beloved husband of 63 years, Andrew, survives her. She is also survived by her daughters, Deborah Stika, Diane Bertino, Andrea (John) Dunnigan; her son, James (Karen) Stika; her grandchildren, Stephen Bertino, Jessica, Rachel and Mallory Stika, and Andrew and James Dunnigan.
