FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Polson rips Havre; Columbia Falls blasts Frenchtown

HAVRE — Northwestern A champion Polson closed out regular-season play Friday night by pounding Havre 47-14 in a nonconference football contest.

Senior standout quarterback Tanner Wilson threw four touchdown passes to Matthew Rensvold — one, three, 49 and 16 yards — and ran four yards for another score.

Polson (7-1 overall) led 33-0 at the half.

Havre (5-4) had touchdown runs in the third and fourth quarters.

Up next is the Class A playoffs.

McGuyer’s scoring runs were from 14, one, 15 and 28 yards. Ezekiel Misa also returned a punt for a touchdown.

Thompson Falls (3-5, 2-2) led 24-0 at the half.

Libby (1-8, 1-3) scored in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard run by Braydan Thom.

It was the final game of the regular-season for both teams.

COLUMBIA FALLS — Seth Gossett, 12 carries for 113 yards, had touchdowns runs of 36 and two yards and quarterback Dakota Bridwell passed for three touchdowns and ran for another as Columbia Falls crushed Frenchtown in a Northwestern A contest.

Columbia Falls (7-1, 2-1) led 48-0 at the half.

Bridwell was 14 of 16 passing for 283 yards.

Trevor Hoerner had three receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown and Sean Miller had two catches for 118 yards and a touchdown.

Steven DeCamp had the other scoring catch.

Columbia Falls had 475 yards total offense to 28 for Frenchtown (3-7, 0-3).

Columbia Falls advances to playoff action next weekend.
