LETTER: Zinke not doing enough?

Congressman Ryan Zinke, in response to the recording of Donald Trump bragging about sexually assaulting women, said that he and his wife “… have talked about it, and we pray he has grown from his mistake.”

Since I’m a person of faith, I’m happy to hear that. We are called to “pray without ceasing.” However, that’s not the end of our responsibility. We are also required to “do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.”  

God doesn’t choose sides in an election, but that doesn’t mean we can hide behind our faith when women’s basic dignity is under attack. —Cherilyn DeVries, Kalispell
