Paul Smith Willis, 75

Paul Smith Willis, born Sept. 20,1941, to Ida Mae Dreblow and Franklin Smith Willis, passed away on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016.

Paul is survived by his two sons, Tylor Willis of Missoula and Chase Willis of Kalispell.

Paul led a full and colorful life after graduation from high school. He joined the United States Air Force Reserve based out of Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls and was deployed to Florida during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Paul then went on to college and earned a Master’s in Educational Counseling degree that he used in his position in Harlowton as a high school counselor.

When Paul returned to Kalispell he was elected city judge and fulfilled his responsibilities with a firm hand and compassion.

Paul was involved in the Les Bauska Under-ground Shooting Range and Northwest Montana Arms Collectors gun shows. Paul was an accomplished locksmith, earning the certificate of Master Locksmith from the Associated Locksmiths of America.

Tylor and Chase would like to invite those who knew Paul to the Kalispell VFW Post 2252 located at 330 1st Ave. W., Kalispell, between 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, for coffee and baked goods to celebrate Paul’s life.
