Sherry Patterson, 72

Sherry was born Sherrill Lynn Jonach in La Junta, Colorado, July 19, 1944, to Johnny and Ruthie Jonach.

Sherry passed away at Brendan House in Kalispell on Oct. 23, 2016, after experiencing multiple health issues in recent years.

She lived most of her adult life in Billings working various jobs. In 2007 Sherry moved to Columbia Falls to be close to her mother and two of her three sisters.

Sherry was married twice but never experienced the pain or joy of bearing any children. However, through the years she had many dogs and cats that brought her much joy.

She is survived by her sisters and their families, Joanie and Howard Caudill with sons Justin and Kim Dailey and Jeremy and Wendy Dailey and their families; Gayle and Dan Brown with their children, Ronica Hall, Jake and Christie Becker, Dan Jr. and Aileen Brown, and Tracy and Dan Gladden and their families; Nancy Michels with son Jamie and daughter Marsha and Jim Hawkins and their families.

She is also survived by six cousins including Paul Gregory who was more like a brother, her stepmother Carrie Jonach, and her treasured friend Ona. Sherry also leaves behind her dear cat, Gracie.

Sherry made many friends while attending Whitefish United Methodist Church and while taking dialysis treatments.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, D.W. Smiley.

Cremation was performed by Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.

There will be a private family service for Sherry.
