LETTER: Eileen Bech has proven her ability to serve well

| October 30, 2016 10:00 AM

This letter is written to further the campaign of Eileen Bech of Kalispell, who is currently running to represent District 11 in the Montana Legislature. It is a pleasure to recommend her for this position, and I have no doubt that she will serve well and efficiently.

I was chairman of a community committee on which Mrs. Bech served. It managed the outward appearance, the irrigation and potable water system for a community development in the outskirts of Kalispell. When the owner of the development decided to release management to the community’s board, I was appointed chairman and Eileen was appointed executive secretary. In addition to being a congenial committee member, she was very efficient in answering the many householders’ questions on a variety of subjects, including irrigation and potable water problems, payments for service, building requirements and covenant compliance. She demonstrated dependable judgment in determining what problems needed the investigation and decision of the entire committee. There were literally no complaints from the membership, and her efforts and dependability were appreciated by the community.

Based on my years of working with her on these problems and my association with her as a neighbor for more than 30 years, I have no doubt that in the Legislature she will be a much respected, alert, honorable, very efficient representative fully representing the needs and desires of her constituency. I recommend her election without reservation. —Neil D. Van Sickle, Whitefish
