SOCCER ROUNDUP: Gedlaman, Duford continue scoring binges

COLUMBIA FALLS — Hannah Gedlaman scored the first three goals and the finale in a 7-0 Northern A girls soccer victory over Bigfork on Saturday at Flip Darling Field.

She also assisted on a score.

“Obviously she did well, finished well,” Columbia Falls coach Greg Trenerry said of his standout.

Madison Snyder, Joyce Hatfield and Hannah Callender had the other goals.

Callender also assisted on two scores.

Columbia Falls (3-0 overall, 1-0 league) outshot Bigfork 25-7 on goal and led in corner kicks 10-3.

Madeline Jarvis had six keeper saves for the Wildkats. She has not allowed a goal this season.

“My defense did really well today,” Trenerry said. “They all played well.

“We were composed the whole game,” he added. “They passed well, they looked really good.”

Gedlaman has scored in every match and has seven total goals for the season.

Columbia Falls has outscored its first three foes 19-0.

POLSON — Tiara Duford scored twice in both halves as Polson (2-0) pounded Frenchtown in a Class A nonconference match.

Duford now has nine for the season. She also assisted on two scores.

Ashlee Howell scored an unassisted goal in addition to two assists.

Polson had 36 shots on goal to Frenchtown’s three.

WHITEFISH — Two goals one minute apart put Livingston on top for good midway through the first half en route to the Class A nonconference shutout of Whitefish (1-2).

Livingston added two more goals by Kelton Madden in the second half.

Livingston led in shots on goal 18-11.

“We had a few (scoring chances), but we weren’t close to winning,” Whitefish coach John Lacey said.

“Our young players are stepping up and playing well. That’s what counts right now.”
