Glacier, Flathead spikers busy at Great Falls Invite

GREAT FALLS — Glacier won 13 of 14 sets to continue its hot start to the 2016 season on Friday at the Great Falls Invitational volleyball tournament.

Teams at the invitational played seven different opponents in two sets each, and the Wolfpack swept Billings West, Helena Capital, Great Falls High and Missoula Big Sky.

Glacier split with Billings Skyview.

“I was very pleased with the way we played today,” Glacier coach Christy Harkins said.

“We were consistent, which was nice. We’ve been battling inconsistency but we found a little bit of a groove today.”

Flathead went 2-12 in its sets, earning victories against Helena High and Billings Senior.

The invitational continues today with consolation and championship play.
